I can't get the file I downloaded to complete the installation and setup. I get a message beginning with "Installshield 1155:..." during the extraction process.  What do I need to do?

This problem occurs if you're still running Internet Explorer version 6 or earlier and have not been installing the updates that Microsoft provides free of charge.  It can also be caused by your firewall. Upgrade to Internet Explorer version 8 and the problem should go away. This is a free upgrade direct from Microsoft. You can upgrade by clicking < Download Internet Explorer v8 > to get the free upgrade.

How do I know that my credit card information is secure when I make a purchase from your web site?

Your payment will not go to Lazy Bayou directly, we process orders through RegNow™, a Digital River company with a proven track record of safe and secure ecommerce transactions.  We never see any of your transaction information as it's all done on the RegNow site. If you click the  "Buy Now!" button you will be presented with a payment screen opened in a new window on the RegNow secure (SSL) web site.
You would see:

  • Title of the product you are going to purchase
  • Product description, delivery and order information
  • Quantity and price information
  • Methods of payment

This page is HACKER SAFE©. How do I setup an account to have credit cards processed with my software? 

Credit card processing applies to the following Lazy Bayou Products (Licensed versions only):

  • Stable Manager Pro II

  • Lawn Manager Pro
  • Club Manager
  • For Rent

  The first time you click the "Process Credit Card" button in your product you will be taken to the account setup screen. Full details will be provided there by the Synapse Corporation so you can get your account setup.  You can setup your account by telephone at (913) 599-6262 or by fax. Full support will be provided should you have any questions or problems. After the setup process is complete and your account is approved when you click the "Process Credit Card" button you will be taken to the payment processing screen where you can then accept credit cards in payment for your services. You can use a magnetic card reader or enter the required information manually when processing a credit card payment from your customers.  The Synapse Corporation will provide free support and train you to process credit card payments should you have any questions or problems.

 I get a message saying "Requires Administrator Privileges..." when I try to install.

If you're running Windows Vista® or Windows 7 go to Control Panel and select User Accounts then click Turn User Account Control On or Off. Turn it OFF by removing the "check mark". If you're the only user of your PC you are the Administrator but you will still have to turn the User Account Control OFF. You can turn it back on if you like but it's not really necessary.

  When I purchase how soon until I receive the product?

In most cases, almost immediately as all our products are downloadable products. As soon as your payment is approved our payment processor and distributor, RegNow, sends you an E-mail with your serial number and the link to download your licensed copy. This is not a "shipped" product however you can purchase a CD for backup security from RegNow when you place your order. Boxes shown on our web site are drawings for display purposes only. See below for details on how to obtain your lost serial number.

  How limited are the evaluation or trial copies of your software?

The trial / evaluation copies of our software are fully functional except for the Password Protection features on some of the programs. The only other limitation is the number of days a program can be used. In most cases you can use it for 14 days before it expires. The first day begins with the date you install the software and ends 14 days later.  The licensed versions have no limitations and will run for as long as you desire. There are no monthly or annual subscription fees for any of our products.

    I have found your software for sale on other web sites. How is that handled?

We have over 1100 affiliates world wide that offer our software for sale. You can download the evaluation copy from them however many of them don't keep their archives up to date and you may be downloading an older version of the software you're interested in. We encourage you to always return to Lazy Bayou to download the evaluation version and return here to complete your purchase to be assured of getting the latest release.

   Once I click "Buy Now" I notice I am no longer at "Lazy Bayou". Why is that?

Lazy Bayou is a development and sales site for our software products. We do not process payments here. Once you click on "Buy Now" you will be taken to the RegNow (a division of Digital River)  secure ecommerce website for payment processing. This is normal so don't be alarmed. We could make it look like we handle the payments but don't think it would be fair to deceive our customers. We don't see any of your transaction details as you're not on Lazy Bayou when the transaction takes place. Once the transaction is complete you will be returned to Lazy Bayou.

  Are the licensed programs located on your servers?

No. All of our finished products are located on the secure Digital River website where payments are transacted. Once we finish writing the code and do the testing we have it certified Virus, Trojan, Adware, Malware and Spyware free then upload the completed product to the Digital River servers. They handle the distribution and payment processing of all our software products.

 I have lost my serial number and can't install my software. How can I retrieve it?

Each customer is assigned a unique serial number for the product they purchase and it comes in the Email you receive when you complete the purchase process (see the next question below). If you did not retain that Email, serial numbers are available to licensed users by clicking the "Member's Only" button at the menu bar above. It's a free service provided by Lazy Bayou where only licensed users of our products can obtain serial numbers and upgrade information on their products.

    How do I get my serial number when I buy a licensed copy of your software?

  Once you click the "Buy Now" button the payment process takes less than 2 minutes. As soon as the payment has been approved you are sent an Email containing the link to download your licensed copy along with the unique serial number for that particular copy. The serial number is listed in the Email as the "Regcode" under the heading "*** Registration Information ***"  you should get the Email in less than 5 minutes after you make payment. Print and retain this Email as you will need it when installing the copy you purchase as each copy is assigned a different serial number when it leaves the RegNow secure servers on its way to your computer.

    Are there any monthly or annual subscription fees for using your software?

   No. Once you purchase any of our products there is never any additional subscription fees. The product you purchase is permanent and will run without any restrictions for as long as you desire. The only charges you may incur after the initial purchase is for upgrades to your product.

    What's the difference between Upgrades and Updates?

   A Normal Upgrade is a release of the product containing options and features not available in prior versions. A Major Upgrade is a new release of the product containing options and features not in prior versions and also a new database structure. Updates are usually patches to fix a bug or remove code that was used for testing purposes and inadvertently left in the finished product. Updates are provided to you free of charge. The way to tell the difference between Upgrades, Updates and New Products are in the example version numbers shown below:

  • Normal Upgrades will have a version number like 1.1.0 or 5.3.0
  • Updates will have a version number like 1.0.1 or 4.0.5
  • Major Upgrades will have a version number like 2.0.0 or 6.0.0
  • New products will have a version number of 1.0.0

    What's the difference between *.EXE and *.ZIP files?

   An "EXE"  file is really a "ZIP" file that has been modified to self extract when you double-click on the filename. This is the easiest way to start the installation of the product. The "EXE" files are only slightly larger than a standard "ZIP" file. If you have trouble downloading or installing a file with the "EXE" extension due to it being blocked by your firewall or anti-virus software just download the "ZIP" file.
